Markets

ADLS is approved nationally. We know the path in our markets.

There is no international ADLS standard. What counts is the national aviation authority, its rules and the way it reviews applications.

BNK, AVV MARKING RULES

THE RULES

Demand-controlled night marking is mandatory for wind turbines that require aviation marking. Systems must meet the requirements of the general administrative regulation on obstacle marking.

HOW WE HELP

ADLS projects with all major turbine OEMs. Integration of the detection system with the turbine light control, from planning to acceptance.

NO

Norway

BSL E 2-1 §7a

THE RULES

BSL E 2-1 §7a sets the framework for ADLS. Many wind farm licences include an ADLS condition with a deadline, and Luftfartstilsynet approves each system.

HOW WE HELP

We prepare the technical documentation the operator needs for the pre-assessment and the application to Luftfartstilsynet.

Flight test of the Senture ADLS in the Hadeland and Toten region, Norway, June 2025: technician next to the aerial work platform carrying the sensors

Reference in Norway

Flight-tested against BSL E 2-1 in Norwegian terrain.

In June 2025 we tested a complete Senture ADLS in the Hadeland and Toten region together with a major Norwegian wind farm developer. Aircraft flew different approach corridors and heights, including approaches at the lower detection limit. The system met all detection requirements of BSL E 2-1.

ZA

SACAA AMOC

THE RULES

SACAA approves ADLS through its alternative means of compliance process.

HOW WE HELP

Radar-based ADLS with pilot activated lighting as an additional input. Local delivery with South African civil and installation partners.

AU

Australia

CASA, AC 139.E-05

THE RULES

CASA guidance on obstacle lighting allows ADLS, with performance criteria aligned to FAA AC 70/7460-1M. Where aviation lighting is required, the development approval of the wind farm usually sets the conditions.

HOW WE HELP

ADLS designed to these criteria, including the coverage analysis and technical documentation that CASA and the planning authority ask for.

CL

Chile

DGAC, DAN 14

THE RULES

Obstacle marking is regulated in DAN 14. DGAC accepts radar-based ADLS in principle and requires it case by case in the permit.

HOW WE HELP

Delivery with a local partner for installation, maintenance and warranty service, plus the technical information DGAC requires.

Example designs

Same technology, four very different designs.

Each market sets its own detection requirements, and the terrain decides how many sensors it takes to meet them.
