Privacy policy
In short
This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and embeds no third-party content. Fonts, 3D scenes, maps and PDF files are served from our own server. We process personal data only where the website needs it to run, or where you send us data yourself, for example through the request form. That is why this website has no cookie banner.

2. Hosting
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany.
3. Server log files
Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores: IP address (shortened by our host, the last part is replaced), date and time, page or file requested, amount of data transferred, status code, previously visited page (referrer), browser and operating system.
We need this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and find errors. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being secure and stable operation. Log files are deleted after 7 days. From the shortened data, our host creates an anonymous access statistic (AWStats) that cannot be traced back to any person. We do not combine the log data with other data.
4. No cookies, no tracking
We set no cookies and do not access information on your device unless this is strictly necessary for the use of the website you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You choose the language version through the page address, and no cookie is stored for it.
We use no third-party analytics or marketing services, no social media plugins, no embedded videos and no third-party map services. Fonts are loaded from our server, there is no connection to Google Fonts.
5. Request form
When you write to us through the form, we process the details you enter: name, company, email address, country of the wind farm, number of turbines, project stage, your message and, if you upload one, the file with the turbine layout.
We use this data to answer your request, prepare a first coverage assessment and prepare an offer. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request aims at a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being to answer requests.
The transfer is encrypted. The form sends your details to us by email, and no copies remain stored on the website.
We delete your request and the uploaded files once it has been dealt with and no contract results from it. If a contract results, or the request counts as a business letter, the statutory retention periods of up to six years (German Commercial Code) or ten years (German Fiscal Code) apply.
Where this is needed for the technical assessment, we pass on your request to Light:Guard GmbH, which like Senture belongs to the Light:Guard Group. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request aims at a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being a technically sound answer to your request.
6. Contact by email
When you contact us by email, we process your details to deal with your request. Legal bases, retention and deletion are the same as for the request form.
7. Downloads and external links
PDF files, for example the sample report and the ISO certificate, are downloaded directly from our server. This creates only the server log data described in section 3.
Links to other websites, for example to the Light:Guard Group, open them only when you click. The operator of that website is responsible for any processing there.
8. No automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR and do not create profiles.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An informal message to the contact details above is enough.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
10. Changes
We update this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
